The pillow (that you dream on )
Re: APOD: Bright Planetary Nebula NGC 7027... (2013 Aug 26)
I was going to say "The Ducky Nebula" or "The Horsey Nebula" but I changed my mind.

Ghostbuster! Isn't it obvious?

first thing I saw is a spaceship!
Re: APOD: Bright Planetary Nebula NGC 7027... (2013 Aug 26)
I think it loos a bit like Casper. It should be called 'The Poltergeist' because it looks like a little ghost. I imagine it is even more ghostly without the assigned colors. Plus, if I told you I found something in the neighborhood of 'The Poltergeist' you'd all know where to look.
Re: APOD: Bright Planetary Nebula NGC 7027... (2013 Aug 26)
I suggest "Smoky Paper Nubula" as the name.

I retract my suggestion - Rocky the Flying Squirrel wins.Liebencrantz wrote:definitely +1 Flying Squirrel Nebula. first thing i saw before i even read the caption.

I agree with the several previous posters that NGC7027, at first glance looks like a pillow and with a little imagination, a flying Squirrel.

If there's a Moose Nebula at all nearby, then the Flying Squirrel Nebula moves into the "Must Do" category.

Pillow seems correct. I wanted "The Pillow Fight Nebula", but Pillow is ok.
