Real color of yhe Sun.
Researching the internet, I find that planetfacts.org say that "the Sun has many colours and because of the intensity of those colours our eyes can’t take them all on that is why it appears white. But because it has strong lines of yellow it gives that slight yellowish tint. So it is safe to say that the Sun is white with a yellowish tint."
So we should introduce color would be something like this. I think it is more colorful in shades ranging from yellow to red, going through orange.

CTB1, Sh2-170 and a new candidate supernova remnant
Copyright: Sara Wager

This image shows the supernova remnant CTB1 and in the middle of the image there is an area of new filamentary structures which is a candidate for a new supernova remnant. At the top of the picture is Sh2-170. The top left of the shell of CTB1 has been confirmed as a shell rupture.
The area shown is here http://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full/2 ... /img22.gif

The North American, Pelican and The Cygnus Wall Nebulae of Cygnus
Copyright: Terry Hancock
This ever popular target for Astrophotography, NGC 7000 otherwise known as The North American Nebula due to it's similarity to the shape of the USA, I decided to orient differently. I guess everyone sees something different but I clearly see a devilish face with an open mouth eating the dark absorption cloud (the chin is the cygnus wall), the eye is clearly defined with a star and another star at the tip of his nose, I can even see an ear.....what can you see?

Every year during the Fleurance Astronomy Festival (in France), an astronomy festival called Astro-Jeunes is organised for children between 4 and 16 years old.
During the week, children built a box which will be send in space with an helium balloon. Children places in the box pressure, temperature, radiations detectors, a GPS and a GOPRO camera.
Children have lauched the balloon last thrusday 8th August, with the participation of Mr Michel Tognini, french astronaut at ESA.
This picture has been taken by the GoPro camera at an altitude of 34 km, just before the balloon explosion.

Open Clusters NGC7129 and NGC7142

Reflection nebula IC5134 envelopes NGC7129 and reflects light from the hot blue young stars, a stellar nursery with red emission nebula regions excited by emissions from the giant young stars. The red cresents are Herbig-Haro objects, ionized hydrogen gas compressed by shock waves emitted by the stars.

Edge-on galaxy PGC97261 is just to the left of NGC7142.
Galaxy PGC168098 is on the upper left edge of NGC7142.
Galaxy PGC168082 is above NGC7142.

Planet Starfest 2013.

This photo is a planet pano taken at Starfest, a Canadian star party held each August at the dark of the Moon in Ontario near Mount Forest. It's organized by the North York Astronomical Association (NYAA).

This particular image was taken on the field near the main tent and Red Light Cafe in the wee hours of 11 Aug 2013. The scope in the image is a 36" Normand Fullum dobsonian telescope that was delighting anyone who wanted to look through it. The views were exceptional and Normand was more than happy to share them. There was a line up all night long but it's a little hard to see in the planetized form. A ghostly observer stands on the ladder capturing distant photons.

Skyglow from nearby towns is visible at a few places on the horizon, as well as some airglow to the northwest.

The final image is composed of 12 separate images, stitched together in Photoshop and then warped into a planet. I used a Canon 7D with a Tokina 11-16mm lens, shooting raw at 3200 ISO, 30 seconds for each exposure.

IC1318 - Butterfly Nebula (Part C)
Located in the Cygnus complex the Butterfly nebula (IC1318) is a single giant HII cloud bisected by a thick obscuring dust lane which gives the symmetry from which its popular names derives. The image shows just one wing of the butterfly designated IC1318 C which is approximately 50 light years across. We are looking deep into the Orion arm of our galaxy in this direction at a distance of 5,000 light years. The image was created by assigning the SII, Ha and OIII data respectively to Red, Green and Blue and then applying a colour map to differentiate the SII and OIII areas from the dominant hydrogen.
