Can anyone work out the other parts of the 'chain' which is linked together by Margaret?

And what did the hint in the YouTube video refer to?
Click to play embedded YouTube video.
Margarita...
I was wondering what you meant by -->And what did the hint in the youtube video refer to?<--
Originally, when i clicked on the link, i got basketball stuff.
I just went and clicked on it again, and got a video of Jeff Gordon (race car driver) scareing the crap out of a used car salesman, by takeing him for a ride.
A few minutes later, i tried the link again. Wa-la! (Viola!) I got the same video that you show here.
That's the good news. The bad news is that i can't understand the words that he's singing, so I've still missed the clue that wouldn't have helped me anyway, even if i did get to see the video to begin with. Say-la-ve, or sumtin like that.

The clue is in the title - but you have to know a bit about Margaret, the moon, and who found her...

Even if you can't understand the words - hasn't that child got a BEAUTIFUL voice...? The song, (called, "Tell Me, Lovely Shepherd") used to be in my repertoire, so I know how difficult it is to get it to sound that effortless.

My repertoire leans more to the Beatles and Bee Gee's type of thing, with a smathering of other stuff, so I'm not going to comment on the 'kid'.

Well, clearly the Shepherd is the common denomination. Margaret, the moon, was discovered by Scott S. Sheppard. And there are shepherd moons, although I don't know if Margaret is one of them.

As for Margaret Thatcher, I found this page, where she is being presented with some splendid "Shepherd Glass"(?). And there is a book by Baroness Gillian Shephard about Margaret Thatcher, called 'The Real Iron Lady'.

Gerard Manley Hopkins wrote a poem called "The shepherd’s brow", or at least those are the three first words of the first line of a poem of his. (I had to search for that one. Gerard Manley Hopkins was apparently not required reading in any course I took.)

As for Margaret Mead, well... there is someone named Edward Shepherd Mead.

Maybe there is something else about Margaret Mead, too. I found that there is a group called Sea Shepherd Channel Islands volunteers, and on their homepage, they use a Margaret Mead quote:

Never underestimate the power of a small group of committed people to change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

Okay, that's the best I can do!

Okay, I'm having a minor breakdown here. Suddenly my "phone-in-the-wall" - which I use a lot - has been disconnected, and I've been told that I have asked for a termination of my "telephone service", and I have apparently also asked for broadband to be disconnected - well, as you can imagine, I most certainly haven't asked for such a thing, I'm hassled and I have been on my not-much-battery-left cell phone for about an hour trying to straighten it all out. Hopefully, my computer will be left in peace, broadband intact, and I should get my telephone back tomorrow.

But I was going to say - you used to sing that song, Margarita? I'm impressed. It is obviously a very demanding song, but that boy soprano is lovely.

Here it is:

I am like the ocean,
I am like the pebbles at the shore,
I am, I am not, I am, I am not, I am, I am not...
What am I really?

Er, um, Light?

It can be thought of as a wave, or as particles. And we have light switches to turn it on and off.

Of course, I was dim bulb enough to just blurt out the answer without regard to the fact that I'd have to ask the next question. My thinking cap is around here someplace. As soon as I find it I'll come back with a perhaps punny puzzle, or it'll at least be alliterative.

Not punny or alliterative, but succinct, I think:

I'm huge but still hungry, and a snack is about to arrive.

By defer, do you mean you want to guess but not take a turn at offering a puzzle? In any case, you're right.

Shouldn't this be in the -say it with pictures thread- :?: :?: :lol2:
Something about a Wolf-Rayett star seems rather obvious. But as to just what, i don't know.

I watched the movie The 3rd Letter, it is

Hmmm Beyond how does The 3rd letter fit in?
And the ship pole?

Maybe Ann wants just to watch "Contact" on a "Blue" "Ray" DVD :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Well... I've never heard of the third letter. The 'ship pole' is a mast, but i don't think it's possible to raise and fly a star of any size off of it, even Ray Charles. :lol2: My brain just doesn't get to the point of the mast. It can be rather hard to figure out Zany school teachers and Moonladys :!:

The number three didn't tell me anything in the original 3rd letter clue, so repeating the number 3 won't help now either. Of course i could just guess, so here's a few...A 3rd magnitude star, if there is such a thing. There's 3 of them seen so far, which would make it a rareity. Or how about you can see it good from the 3rd rock from Sol. Ah, 3 useless guesses.

Better?

(Forget about the "inmagine" stuff... what's the red thing?)

And as for my second picture, it's not the mast that is the important thing. Is this picture clearer?

lower case γ would be more appropriate.

and if not the mast, then it must be the sails.
