A small Leonid fireball over a beach in Ireland on the 18th. Pretty fast, going 10 degrees before blowing apart with a flash.
A lovely sight.

Re: Recent Submissions: 2012 November
I took these pictures on my back home after a busy day. I was passing through Barnesmore Gap, Co. Donegal, Ireland and I noticed it was clear, I pulled the car over to a nearby picnic area, opened the door and I was blown away by the night sky view. It was kind of eerie having such a dark, still sky above me and a really busy road next to me. So often we wrapped up in day to day tasks forgetting about the beauty above us. This photos, with the busy head nights and still, star-filled sky certainly made me glade that I stopped and looked up! My night was complete when I noticed that I photographed a meteor.

La Noche de las Estrellas ( Night of the Stars ) is a great astronomical party, held once a year in more than forty cities in México, with the purpose of sharing the pleasure of observing the sky and learn more about the universe.

Another fantastic image of this region, OIII exposures would show considerably more nebulosity! OIII emission is very abundant in the LMC, it's everywhere!tango33 wrote:The Tarantula nebula - as imaged from Tivoli farm in Namibia
