Some new auto rankings have been added. Equating Science Officer with Lieutenant (and skipping Lt. Commander), Commander at 500, Captain at 1000, Commodore at 2000. The logical progression would be Rear Admiral at 5K, Vice Admiral at 10K, Admiral at 20K, and Fleet Admiral at 50K.

Congratulations Commodore Ann!

Not that you remind me now of that incredible 64KiB !

Spanish high "Achim" rolled over Germany.

Monday was so hot, I melted, 34 °C was the top in my town, some other places in Germany announced they hit 39°C but I think they helped with hairdryer to beat other towns

All my Galileo bulbs went down even through nights, it was over 28°C, I thought at some point, the water will start to boil at day

I want to start again with sport in a club, I exercised over years alone and in clubs, but last months I was just lazy, and I miss training.

I contacted a club, where I wanted to start this week, but I postponed to next week. Beginning in the hottest week of the year is in my condition not safe :lol2:

I did martial arts, not to mix with Martian arts  , and I want to continue with my green belt in Taekwondo...

We have less mosquitoes this year, August is the month were spiders start to mate, so many of them are very busy now, I warned my friends not to kill them, they
are in no way poisonous in Germany, and they are eating insects and are food for birds.
People hate spiders and I can not understand, I say to them just think of "Spiderman" the movie to empathize, I mean look, there is a male dancing around the
female spider and then bam! squashed !

I don't know. I googled "Ann sailing" and got this picture. I'm not sure it's me, but you never know!

Hey, you ought to be a Commodore too, Beyond!

(Is this the sky telling us that there is, indeed, 9 g-reat planets in our solar system?)

The answer isn't 42. It's 9!

Then, if you take 42 and divide it by 9 you get 4.66 which is also almost 1.5 Pi

so the secret to the universe is really 1-1/2 pies

Food is the answer to the meaning of everything! :doughnut: :b: :chomp:

The fourth dimension constant:

number of each dimension = 9

9x9x9= 729x4th dimension timeline= 2916

constant 2916 forth dimension plus current timeline : 25.8.2012 = 236 days
for 2012 = 236 days + fourth dimension constant 2916= 3152 position in fourth dimension in the year 2012

when you want to travel back and forth in time, you can calculate now the day you want to go

I would like to go “forth” until we have figured out how to traverse the expanse of the universe in a reasonable time frame! :D (But I know it’s strictly dreaming based on what we know about physics… Darn that Einstein! )

I've had nothing but sunshine and a few clouds for almost a week. I also don't have any pussycats to fall out of open windows. A just about purrfect situation. :!:

This isn't all that much about the weather, rather about what I saw in the sky this early morning... but since it refers to clouds and not to things above the clouds, I'm going to post it here.

Bad weather was coming in from the west, and the sky was already completely covered with clouds. Almost. Far in the east, near the horizon, the sky was still clear.

As the Sun was rising, but still well below the horizon, its most deeply reddened light shone "from below" and hit the cloud cover above it. Deep, dark, almost purplish red light suddenly shone forth darkly and spread like flames all over the eastern sky. It was a bit like being on a fantasy world or on an alien planet in orbit around a very red cool dwarf.

After twenty or twenty-five minutes, the red color was gone completely and replaced by a uniform golden-yellow "nebulosity".

Five or ten minutes later the Sun emerged over the horizon, reddened to a deeply yellow color. I was on board the train to my job during all this "sunrise event", and as the Sun was becoming visible, the train was passing through an open landscape with mist in the air. Tiny clouds of mist had left the ground, hovering perhaps five meter above it. The intensely yellow sunlight hit these mini-clouds, making them appear like small puffs of yellow smoke suspended between the ground and the blue-and-pink-and-gray cloud cover high above them.

It was some sunrise.

It looks like New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast are going to get slammed by Hurricane Isaac sometime this evening, seven years after Katrina.

We have to deal with what we’re dealt especially when it comes to weather. We’re getting wet from Isaac today here in Georgia. I’m not complaining, good to have the rain without the high winds.
