It's one of my home pages that come up every time I open my browser. I don't want to miss any of them! :-)

APOD has been my homepage for the last 8 years, possibly as long as 10+.

I voted 'other'; I access APOD via a link in my favorites whenever I remember it

I see APOD in Google Reader, but the RSS article is the previous day's posting. So I use the link in the article to get to the correct day's posting. Just love my daily 'fix' of science and beauty!

I use Firefox 3.5.19, type the letter 'a' into the awesome bar, scroll down once to APOD which is my most frequently accessed site starting with an 'a'.
When I was working at a University where the Internet access was iffy, I would first go to APOD to check that my connections were good and clean and fresh (not yesterday's cache or slow). Today, each morning after doing my writing, I usually reward myself with an apod as my first access before handling my email!

+1. I check in once a week or so and catch up. What does dancing have to do with astronomy?

I try to limit what I access through Facebook, as everyone should. The less they know about us the less they can direct our exploration of the internet.

APOD is on my bookmark tab. It's the first site I go to in the morning.
So much better than the 'news'...

Ack, I missed the poll! So much love for APOD. :D

I usually see APODs (sometimes a few days late, as today) by manually navigating to the main page in my browser, or via my RSS reader. (I had to write a PHP script to add a date stamp to each RSS item, because without it my feed reader was registering ten new updates every day, even though nine were days previous.)

I loved loved this video. Wonderful feeling watching the whole world dancing to the same music.

I thought that the video I saw of people dancing with the guy from Seattle absolutely Love in the Cosmos to the nth degree and every body needs to see it.
Thanks for doing this project :D

virgin@lucent.com wrote:Greetings,

APOD is set as the home page in my browsers. This is possible because you
use the same URL every day. Although it seems unlikely that you will change
that feature, this message is being written to remind you that it is a useful
feature that should not be changed without considerable thought.

Another useful feature is that you post each day's APOD at the date-labeled URL
when it first appears on the more general APOD URL. This allows one to send
friends the date-labled URL for constancy in the case they read the message a day later.

Thanks

the question was "how do you access APOD?"

Although I have had APOD's Astronomy Picture of the day bookmarked for many years, I do not usually take the time to have a look-see.

I was delighted when I got an e-mail from a friend telling me to visit the 2012 July 10 post "Happy People Dancing on Planet Earth". Superb.

It also has reinvigorated my intentions to make APOD's Astronomy Picture of the Day a more regular feature of my computer's desktop.

:-D
