Centauric Clouds: Omega Centauri and Centaurus A
http://www.twanight.org/newTWAN/photos.asp?ID=3003620
Copyright: Tunç Tezel In a single-exposure telephoto image, Omega Centauri (NGC5139), a globular cluster of several million stars and the largest of its own in our galaxy soars above a dark forest in Keles, near Bursa, Turkey. At latitude 40 degrees North, the cluster rises only 2 degrees above the southern horizon. The other gem of Centaurus, Centaurus A (NGC 5128) with a prominent dark dust band, is visible about 4 degrees north of the cluster near the image's top.

I tend to call the pair as Centauric Clouds, with their look reminding me of pictures of Magellanic Clouds.

Crux
Copyright: Yuriy Toropin

Crux (Southern Cross) constellation with Coalsack dark nebulae are visible in this widefield shot taken under dark sky of Tivoli Farm in Namibia.
Details are on this Flickr page.
Direct link to 100% resolution is worth to be checked due to dozens of clusters and nebulae scattered on image,
annotation of objects can be found on this overlapped picture.

PREPARING THE TRANSIT OF VENUS: THE SUN AND THE MONTJUIC OLYMPIC STADIUM IN BARCELONA
Photographs was made in Cal Ganxo (Castelldefels) by Alfonso Lopez Borgoñoz (Agrupació Astronòmica de Castelldefels) at 6.20 hours on Friday 1 June 2012 during the preparation of the vision of the Venus transit of June 6, 2012 at 6.19 am. I could see the sun rising behind the Montjuic Olympic Stadium (1992) in Barcelona.

Is not my greatest photo, caused by sea mist but is my sight, the last before the transit of Venus.

Venus in daylight
I made this picture with my newtonian of 16cm at 48x and a fujifilm finepix s5600. Venus is very close to the sun when I made the shot at 8.38UT of this morning. The seeing was very bad.

The sun is getting ready for the transit. Activity is rising, so let's hope for some nice imaging opportunities...
