<<The first horse that played Mister Ed for the pilot episode was a chestnut gelding. However, the permanent equine star of the show was Bamboo Harvester (1949–70), a crossbred gelding of American Saddlebred, Arabian and grade ancestry. Alan Young states that Mr. Ed died from an inadvertent tranquilizer administered while he was "in retirement" in a stable in Burbank, California where he lived with his trainer Lester Hilton. Young says Hilton was out of town visiting relatives and a temporary care giver might have seen Ed rolling on the ground, struggling to get up. Young said Ed was a heavy horse and he was not always strong enough to get back on his feet without struggling. The theory is the care giver thought the horse was in distress and administered a tranquilizer and for unknown reason, the horse died within hours. The remains were cremated and scattered by Hilton in the Los Angeles area at a spot known only to him.>>

I like the flies around the nostrils. That's realistic. Flies are particularly fond of nostrils, particularly ones that aren't breathing. They lay their eggs inside the nostrils and not only does that provide cover from predators but there are lots of tunnels through the skull to all sorts of meaty goodness. Brain tissue is quite hearty, I believe.

Oh yeah. Another shady Hollywood death. Another "accidental" overdose. I bet he was going to spill the beans, just like Marilyn...

I would love a hires version for my desltop. I love the picture and have always been fascinated with the shuttle. I remeber watching the first launch in school and last summer I watched the final launch at work. There were highs and lows, but it is a remarkable acheivment.

I love the old school lego shuttle too. I have my own lego NASA on display that I fiddle with almost every day.

When I played with Lego, I used to make amazing mobile-home-amphibious-spaceship things that could go anywhere.

Underwater, alien planets, you name it, this would be the only vehicle you'd ever need...
