WWII: Bombing of Nagasaki

Post by TNT » Fri Jan 06, 2012 11:37 pm

I'm doing a research paper on the Nagasaki atomic bombing and need some information about its background in general, obstacles that the U.S. had to overcome, U.S. accomplishments, and its impact around the world. Can you help me with this info? I'd really appreciate it.

Your best bet....besides Google and encyclopedias.....is to check with PBS to see if they have a program about it. Many years ago i saw a program about Hiroshima and the developing and dropping of the first atomic bomb. I think they dropped "Fat Boy" on Nagasaki, but I'm not sure. Two bombs...two cities. The Japanese thought the US had about half a dozen more, so they surrendered. No-one had ever seen such devastation before.

It's been a l--o--n--g time :!: Although by todays thermonuclear standards, "Fat Man" would be considered a 'Boy'.
