Speaking of owl action.... I don't recall we ever having any Ocular Digitator action, as yet. So here's an assortment of 20 oculars. Just scroll right when you get there

Very cool! I tried to take a picture of one of my eyes (about two dozen times)... I now have about two dozen bad pictures I need to erase. I found it impossible!

Oh! Maybe I should try with the new camera. Back later!

Owlice.... You're a Real Hoot :!: :!:
If it doesn't work this time.... try using a camera for each eye. You've got 2-hands - right :?:

It's been a while since we've had some hummingbird action! Not trying to divert the topic too much here, but last summer, as my mother was watering the flowers in our backyard, a hummingbird went up to the water, where the mist was, and was apparently drinking the water!

A hummingbird did that to my dad once... except by "watering" the plants he was actually urinating on them...

In his defense, he's old, has a gimped leg from a motorcycle accident, and the house was pretty big and on the side of a mountain away from the eyes of any neighbors. In hind sight my post makes my dad sound kind of crazy without context. I don't have any defense for the hummingbird, though. I guess you get whatever water you can in such a dry environment.

Orin, I think you have a hawk in that pic!! Nice capture, though fuzzy; I find them difficult to catch with a camera, too!

I think your right! My son in law said it was the shape of a hawk! Maybe it will come back and I can get some better pictures. :D 8-)

Hey Makc, doggone if it don't look like you got a picture of a cat-owl. Nice!
Don't quite know what to make of a real hooter wearing glasses, though. Must be tough flying in the rain.

Wow, geckzilla, that looks like a bigger version of what you posted at the top of the page. Single handedly you're removing the scariness of the owl's beak and sharp talons, and replacing it with a nice soft cuddlely feeling.
