Weather!
Re: Weather!
No problemento, Orin. It didn't go out again. Only got maybe 6-inches of snow. Most of it is gone aleady. Not much wind at all. For a nor'easter, Albert was actually a bigger wimp than Irene was as a hurricane. But Irene blew over a few dead trees in just the wrong places, so i didn't have power for 33 hours. I'm glad Irene came in warmer weather! Actually after Irene had come through earlier in the year, i think very severe thunder storms did a deed on the west part of the state, and many people who were the last to get their power back, lost it again, just a couple-a-few days later. And of course storm Albert just came rolling through, to put even more people in the dark. I've heard that west and north of me, some places got over 30-inches of snow!! That's getting into Blizzard of '78' territory, where a yard deep was common.
So far, it hasn't been a very good year for western Connecticut.
Now i have to go buy some gas for my snowblower.

Re: Weather!
Boy, Beyond, that doesn't seem good. First, you lose power, and now you're getting snow! On top of that many people do not have power! I hope there will be better weather there. Stay warm!

Well, it is stretched out over a couple of months. That's just the way it goes... sometimes.

Re: Weather!
The Western part of Nebraska was in snow warnings last night! I hope it doesn't come to the Eastern side. I'm not ready for winter yet. We are getting a cold rain this morning, It is supposed to be sunny Thursday and Friday; so I better start mulching them leaves. With the weather dampening the scene today; I'll stay indoors and have a or 2.

Re: Weather!
Well; the snow missed us and the 10 forecast looks promising other than chilly weather.

I see iridescent clouds to the east. And it's going to be chilly! There was snow a few days ago west of here, but it never came here.
Re: Weather!
Wow, just had an earthquake. Had one last night, too, but I was asleep.

Re: Weather!
Surely earthquakes are unusual for Oklahoma, bystander? I guess they must be, if you have had no recorded ones that have exceeded 5.6 on the Richter scale.
But that must have been a scary experience, all the more so if you were completely unprepared for it.

Re: Weather!
Actually, we seem to have a lot of quakes in Oklahoma, we just don't have big quakes.

Wow, bystander! I'm glad it wasn't worse than that. Is there damage from it?

Re: Weather!
What next, a freak meteor strike giving Oklahoma a new biggest crater?

Re: Weather!
Wouldn't be surprised if that happened.
There was so much wind today! Many branches fell from trees, and it was a practical leaf storm whenever there were gusts of wind. There must have been a cold front nearby, especially considering the cooler temperatures forecasted.
