I see a marvelous image of NGC 7380. Excellent job, Rolf!

It's interesting to see in the new images section of Rolf's website the difference between the image in 'real colours' (as in the APOD version) and the Hubble-Palette colours version there (those two images in that section are stated to show NGC 7822, which I assume is a mistake). It's a very nice image of NGC 7380.

Nice! Haen' got a chance to image it myself yet

I I SEE A BULL BITING AN ARMADILLO IN THE NECK. WOW!

I totally loved that!! Über-nerdy Linus van Pelt and rather simplistic Charlie Brown! Thank you, pffft!pffft wrote:I think Charles Shultz summed it up best:
Lucy Van Pelt: Aren't the clouds beautiful? They look like big balls of cotton. I could just lie here all day and watch them drift by. If you use your imagination, you can see lots of things in the cloud's formations. What do you think you see, Linus?
Linus Van Pelt: Well, those clouds up there look to me look like the map of the British Honduras on the Caribbean.

Linus Van Pelt: ...gives me the impression of the Stoning of Stephen. I can see the Apostle Paul standing there to one side.
Lucy Van Pelt: Uh huh. That's very good. What do you see in the clouds, Charlie Brown?
Charlie Brown: Well... I was going to say I saw a duckie and a horsie, but I changed my mind.
For myself, I only see a very beautiful nebula, because I am that boring. Oh, and I see the hot blue star responsible for ionizing the nebula: DH Cep, an O5.5 star! Yeah!!!

I see at top of red a T-rex looking up, with a large bird starting to fold its wings behind t-rex's head.
there is a spiky dark flower near center of the great red basket.
(below that, on the inner rim of the basket you can see a tiny priestess with her hair behind head holding up her hands (and a small bowl?) in a blessing position, she's looking toward the t-rex; a larger person is behind her is wearing a hefty crown. Everything else is too mushy to call...

Wow, Neufer!
That WISE pic looks like a fiery witch riding a broom.
Of course, that is as seen by my eyes, which are nowhere near 20/20.
Thanx for sharing!

And - proving once again that one should always take a second - at the very least . . . and more like a hundred and second - look at such beauty, the WISE pic kinda looks like a sunlit Kokopelli.
Magnificent!
