Here are two first light images taken with a Ha scope (SM40). The images from the 18th is a five panel mosaic creating a full disc of our star.

On the morning of the 18th I was able to catch the Chinese Tiangong1 Space Station module under a bright moon and sun rise but just enough to capture some frames (less then 15 sec.). It just cross the star cluster Pleades when detected and heading towards the brightness of the sky.

While Ganymede is geting out of Jupiter, Io is going to pass in front of the giant planet.
This image was obtained with a focal 28 meters long, on the 1 meter Telescope of the Pic du Midi Observatory, last october 13th, at 23h57.

Circumpolar Star Trails over Alamo Lake by Radical Retinoscopy, on Flickr

Two and a half hours of circumpolar star trails are photographed under a moonlit sky at Alamo Lake State Park. The composite was made of 442 twenty second exposures with a Sigma 10-20 mm lens set to 14mm (f/5.0 / ISO 800 / Canon EOS 350D). I was aiming for four hours of exposure time but my battery gave out at around 2.5 hours. Alamo Lake is one of the best dark sky sites in all of Arizona and remains relatively free of light pollution. The distinctive peak in the background is Artillery Peak.

Oak Creek Canyon Star Trail by Radical Retinoscopy, on Flickr

A star trail photo was taken above the Eastern rim of Oak Creek Canyon. The exposure was made of 48 twenty second exposures (16 minutes). The photo was taken with a Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lens on a Canon t2i. Oak Creek Canyon is located about ten miles North of Sedona, AZ.

One day I saw a statue of Pegasus in Vienna and immediately remembered the constellation, so I waited until the constellation had the right place behind the statue and shot the photo.

There are very many nice images here, but I only have time for a few comments.

César, thank you for the comparison between the Sun and the Moon! It's a very fine image, and it's a reminder of one of those incredible coincidences of life here on Earth, that the Sun and the Moon, which are so incredibly different in size, seem to have the same angular size when from the Earth. Amazing.

Tunç Tezel, you are another of the highly skilled mainstays of this forum. I love images like the one you posted here. Apart from showing the general brilliance of the winter sky, it sure does justice to Jupiter's magnificence this autumn.

Catalin Beldea, that's a lovely image of a small part of the little blue miracle that is our home in the cosmos.

Chandrashekar, that is such a beautiful image of a starry sky and thunderstorm clouds! And I was happy to identify the Teapot, Sagittarius.

Jimmy Westlake, that's a lovely image. Note brilliant Jupiter, delightful Pleiades, the Alpha Persei group and the Andromeda Galaxy!

Michał Żołnowski, that's a very interesting narrowband image of the IC 410 and NGC 1893 region in Auriga.

Leonardo Orazi, I'm always happy to see your delightful RGB images here!

Lorenzo Siciliano, that's a great image of NGC 6946. The Fireworks Galaxy, indeed! What a supernova factory!

Manuel Jimenez, that's a great deep portrait of the Ring Nebula, M57, and spiral galaxy IC 1296.

Pitwi, Peter, I love your horse statue with constellation Pegasus in the background. I'm always particularly happy to see one of my favorite blue stars, Gamma Pegasi, being photographed!

I took this over a couple of nights during September and October, It is the reflection nebulae vdb 149 and 150 along with the dark nebula LDN1235 in Cepheus

It is an LRGB image using 10 minute sub frames with an FSQ106ED and ML8300 totalling over 11 hours of exposure time
