Constellation Construction (APOD 20 Jul 2006)

I'm a new member to this forum but have been viewiing APOD for several years. I would like to see more of the pictures like this that show the constellations as in todays picture. Thanks for the great pics and invormation that you bring to us.

I can't stand the APOD's where it says "slide your mouse across the picture and something will happen" because it never works for me, nothing ever happens!

If you put your mouse on top of it, it loads a new piture that has the outlines. The html is a OnMouseOver command. Firefox works, Does IE6?

All the ancients, as well as I learned consellations by imagining pictures.
H. A. Rey, yes, also the author of Curious George, drew very clear connections and cartoons. Since his book on the Stars has been in print for more than 30 years, I think his pictures should be used on APOD to connect the stars, and make seeing contellations easier.

I use Netscape and it doesn't work, and it's not working with today's APOD either, so I'm stuck with the artist's conception and I can't get the real photo.
