Can LBT: Large Bin..Telesc....detect freezing dust cluster?

Post by Ghee888 » Sat Aug 27, 2011 11:37 am

Is LBT capable of detecting dust clusters from -100 Centigrade to -40 centigrade or from -100 K to -40 K (Kelvin degrees)?

If so what is the minimum mass(volume) of the cluster needed in Cubic Km?

Info on LBT http://asterisk.apod.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=19168
(LBT: Large Binocular Telescope, specially the infrared instruments, LUCIFER is operated at cryogenic temperatures at -200 centigrade )
