Turkey's always good with mayo and lettuce and cheese on a sub.

Yeah, I do like smoked turkey, but it's hard to keep lit.

But on tobacco?!? I can heartily recommend substituting some type of bread as being a vast improvement.

I find that plugging the hole with icing works, but you should also not be using fresh-sliced tomatoes on a donut. Instead, slice them thin and dry them on a wire rack in a low-heat oven until they're a bit leathery. This enhances their sweetness and makes them less drippy at the same time. "Sun"-dried tomatoes laid on a sour-cream icing on a whole wheat cake donut -- it's scrumptious.
Take it from me -- I am the donut man.

Well jeez....not much happenin' since my last appearance so....I guess everybody agrees - 'mater sammich
FTW!!!
*WOOHOOOO*
OK then. But anyway, this might revive the topic on more than one front. It caught my eye & I figured it'd be GREAT news for certain parties - but alas, when opened from the small print of its initial appearance, realized it didn't say 'Str
Onger'. So....perhaps with a tad less superlavism - nonetheless, awaken ye toroidoists, and rejoice - a pinnacle beacons!! (You even get to see Elvis!!!)

Before the Sunday storm, Great Horned Owl - Bubo virginianus
Sunday, April 4, 2010
I took an early walk this morning before the looming rainstorm. It was going to be a short walk more of a recon walk. I am on vacation for several weeks and I need-want to get back in the zone of 24/7 photographing while I'm off. I wanted to get a sense of the valley in preparation for the week. Right off the bat, bobcat on the hill. A very good sign altho the bobcat was too far up the hill for the pending storm. I pressed on to do a loop of some trails. The aroma of skunk lured me to a grove of trees and I got a glance of a Great Horned Owl with a scrap of skunk hanging out of its beck. The smell confirmed. This image is very grainy but I like it for a document of the owl's meal. I watch the owl quickly finish its meal. And adjusted my flash for a few attempts at handheld images of the owl. I need practice dialing in the flash to be more fill rather than hot light. I was not expecting to stay long so no tripod...note to self: I should always bring tripod regardless of time. Another note to self: save up for a quantum turbo battery pack for the flash, 'cause I'm getting tired of what I think are fresh batteries yet flash not firing off on every frame.

Great Horned Owls capture a wide variety of prey that ranges in size from shrews and mice, to jack rabbits. They have been known to take prey as large as a porcupine. They also eat fish, scorpions, and a variety of birds, including the young of other raptors. These owls have been found dining on skunks. It appears that the skunk’s odor has little effect in deterring the Great Horned Owl.

Apparently bugs of various sizes hitting the Great Horned Owl's body,
as it goes blissfully gliding down the trails, doesn't deter it either.
