Happy Father's Day to all the fathers here...

Post by owlice » Sun Jun 19, 2011 2:27 pm

... with or without "grand," "step," "great grand," or other prefixes afore the title of "father"!

I'm fairly certain that before one could acquire the the prefix "grand" or "great grand", one must have been a father first.

Ah, well, I must admit it's all speculative and based purely upon personal experience. Having acquired the prefix "great grand" myself, I remember distinctly having previously acquired the "grand" prefix (x 4), and before that, having no prefix at all. Somewhere in there, I also acquired the "step" prefix, but I am convinced, at least for the time being, that it has no connection to the other prefixes.

Anyway, I will echo owlice's sentiments "Happy Father's Day!" to all fathers, regardless of which of the aforementioned prefixes you may (or may not) have acquired.

It's Father's Day! Without your dad, you wouldn't be here. But don't think about the mechanics of that too much.
To fathers everywhere, we salute you! But we're still not going to pull your finger.MAXINE

Yes, you're hosting the next meeting at Milliways. Are you prepared? Do you have your towel?

Geez By, I knew you had a head of hair that even I was jealous of, but I had no idea you had acquired the prefix of "great" yet. Even more jealous!
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

Yes, I made that assumption last year, but you were not buying it then and wanted to know whether great grands were included! So there! :P

(Hope you, and all dads, had and are having a great grand day!)

Tell you what, 'IF' you can get there, i'll be prepared. I don't have a towel. I switched to rooting for the New England Patriots before the Pittsburg Steelers came out with the 'Terrible Towel'.

I would have said you qualify, but it's a little late for this year. Next year you will definitely qualify. Congratulations.
