How to acquire/buy hi-res images?

I'd like to get hi-res versions of some of the great images I've seen on APOD. Is there some central place where you can find this info (i.e. a broker of some sort) or do you have to email each observatory, individual, etc?

There is no broker for such transactions. I suggest checking the websites of the observatories/missions/individuals/etc. from which/whom the images originated.
A closed mouth gathers no foot.

Just click on the credits below the APOD image. It will usually take you to the imager's website or email address.
