Saturn and its Serpent Storm (Unoff.Name) from Jan.11th the storm appears to be longer from last observation but slightly distorted on the lobes and encircling more of the northern Hem. most likely the largest in recorded history. Also this image can be view in Parallel vision or (3D Cross your Eyes version) enjoy.

This unusual image is the result of long exposures in the Red, Blue, Green normally, Hydrogen Alpha 3nm, and a separate set of exposures on the inner continuum radiation with RGB and polarizers crossed 120 degrees for each color. The result is an inner region that is mapped in polarization according to color. The outer filaments are primarily HII and OIII regions and have no polarization.The Object:The Crab Nebula in Taurus is a super nova remnant that exploded in in the year 1084AD and has been rapidly expanding ever since. It is located a degree from the easternmost star in the Bulls horns, and glows dimly at a magnitude of 8.4. While small at 6 arc minutes, it is typical of the size of many galaxies in my telescope, and thus made a good target for my galaxy hydrogen enhancement technique. Look carefully at the lower left of this image, you will see a passing asteroid Anahita. It was 12.2 magnitude at this time, and was the 270th asteroid ever found.

That's a fantastic sequence of Venus and Scorpius rising. It is wonderful to see the planet and the stars reflected so perfectly in the still lake.

Céline, what is that bluish-green "flame" that seems to give off vividly blue "smoke"? It looks a bit like a comet with a green coma and a very wide and flaring blue ion tail!

Elephant Trunk in Sea Colors.

Hello,
Last Autumn I made picture of IC 1396. But material was not sufficient
to obtain good results. I decided to repeat it with more material. Now
I made this image as a completely new work. Narrowband in nautical
colors. Elephant under water. Sulfur is red, oxygen blue and powerfull hydrogen in green.
Made in my observatory Solaris in Cracow.
Ritchey Chretien 12.5", 2180mm focal length. SBIG STL 6303, Paramount ME
