Our high was in the 20s today; I know other places are much colder, but it was definitely cold enough for me today! I feel like hibernating.
Not too bad today! About the mid 20's on the Fahrenheit scale. It doesn't feel as cold as it is because of the humidity. That darn flying snow though! If the snow heavies up we could wind up with a blizzard; so I'm hoping it tapers off!

21°F here, so much better than what you gents have! And if it were 13° or more warmer, I could go biking, but it's not going to be. :-( Will be too cold all week!

Too cold all week :?: Hmm...I should think that it would be warmer for you, living so close to the "HILL" :!: :!: Good hot air rises. Bad hot air stays close to the ground. Hey! What am i laughing about?? I'll take ANY kind of "HOT" air today and tomorrow :!: :!:

I think the cold has taken a toll on the feral fluffies. :-( I started the winter feeding three ferals, these all longstanding freeloaders. I am now down to one. I hope the missing two have simply moved on, but... I fear they have taken their final journey. The one left, a large, solidly-built cat (petting him is akin to petting a wooden box with fur, he is so solid and square) seems to have realized the perils of the cold, for he now is walking into the house whenever he can. I think he would like to belong to someone; the two resident cats make it exceedingly obvious they would like him to belong to someone else.

It has gotten up to a whopping 7 degrees F. It is 2:36 PM, and it may get up to 10 before it cools overnight. We had about 8 inches of that beautiful, but very cold white stuff that gave my little snow blower a good work out. Naturally; you have to have a wonderful city crew that opens the roads. Only I wish they didn't have to push that snow around my truck.(I really don't know where else they could push it) Now if we don't get any more snow this winter; I'll be more that appreciative. 8-)

It's snowing and the wind is kinda howling. I should be getting up tomorrow and find another foot of snow on the ground AND a nice sunny day....according to the weather guys. But we all know how THEY are :!: :!: AHHH, another day of snowblowing. It takes a LOT longer with a walk-behind then with a rider, but the walk behind can get into places that the rider with the 4-foot blower couldn't, so that means less shoveling!! [yea!]

Got maybe 6" in Wednesday's snowstorm. Traffic was bad going home, but I made it in two hours; for some, the trip home took 3, 5, 10, even 13 hours.

I'm wondering how those of you north of here fared.

Well, It's a good thing it was a fast mover! It surprised the weather guys and BLEW UP into a massive storm and came about 50 miles closer than predicted, so the net result is that eveyone got about TWICE as much snow!! Tomorrow(saturday)i should be finished(finally)with snow removal from storm Dennis((the menace)).
The problem is that there hasn't been much melting because of all the cold this winter. People that plow are running out of places to put it all.
Connecticut is breaking just about all snow records for the last 105 years. If we finish up with 116 inches, It'll be a Record - Record year.
The interstate highways are cleared, but the state and local roads have many narrow places to go through.
As it stands now, half-way through winter, there are places where the snow piles will last well into april. If we do end up with a Record amount for this winter season, i wouldn't be surprised if some snow piles lasted well into may!! Especially if the cold weather continues.

I give this winter(so far) a :P :P :P :P rating.
