We had just a small gap in the clouds. Just enough to see a small part of the eclipse.

Here's the view over Cork Harbour, Ireland, through some solar safety film.

Hello,
It is Solar Eclipse over Old Market Square in Cracow. On the image is Mary's Basilica, in the middle is very old Cloth Hall and on the right is Town Hall Tower. Today morning was a lot of mist on the streets and -11 Celsius at Sunrise. Sun was almost invisible and we did not use Sunfilters. I met on the Main Square also group of Children form the School which especially for this Event came out in this cold day:)
I used Canon 40D and 10-22 Sigma lens.
F10 1/200 adn ISO 400.
Best Regards from Cracow

Hello,

We had perfect weather here in Be'er Sheva, Israel. the photos were taken by my students and I. We tried to play with a "solar eclipse bunny". The sun spots were seen well but were heard to photograph.

Hi,
we had a cloudy, still good weather here in Tehran.
Partial Solar Eclipse.jpg
clouds were so intense at the point that eclipse was maximum which made it hard to focus the image for me!
Dirty Eclipse.jpg
the earlier image is more clear and much better focused.
and this is a live view of the eclipsed sun projected to a piece of cardboard using a telescope mirror i've ground that is not coated yet, a friend of mine is also watching the eclipse with one those solar glasses (is that the right term?!)

These are two images I made during todays solar eclipse.
They were made using a thick sheet of paper with tiny holes in it, utilizing the principle of a pinhole camera.
The eclipses are mirrored, so in these images you already see the moon leaving the sun to the lower left.

They are a little contribution to APOD's great Images and interessting facts :-)

Crescent sunrise, I think this is the best you can get from a partial solar eclipse.

Solar eclipse photo taken in Krakow, Poland with... an old pair of binoculars, a yellow filter, a cell phone and some help from the fog - all this because someone took my proper camera

Better resolution:

Sequence of the Solar Eclipse yesterday, photographed from the Kniebis mountain (960m above sea level) in the Black forest of Germany. It was very cold (-12°C) and a little cloudy.

The sequence is starting at the maximum eclipse (9:15 MEZ) and shows six more, each 15 minutes later until the eclipse is over.

Best,
Stefan
