Depends on the leftovers (I have some leftover chili that growls whenever I open the refrig door), but in the case of books, I absolutely agree!!

Well, carp; I just ordered another copy of The Blind Watchmaker. I should have read this thread before hitting Submit on my Amazon shopping cart.

Maybe my brother needs this book....

It's a great book. Everybody can get something from it, but only some people need it.

Other books on their way:
  • The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Value (Harris, Sam)
The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark (Carl Sagan)
Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned about Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat (Cooper, Gwen) (2 of these, one a used hardback for moi, my second Christmas present to myself)
One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey (Sam Keith)
    The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins)
If The Dictionary of the Lover of the Sky and Stars were available in English, it would be on my wish list; what French I had years ago has walked off in disgust from disuse.
