Download to TV?

I would like to have a running series of APOD photos on my television as wall art. Is there access available to more detailed images than the JPG's one can download on the daily APOD site?

You could probably develop a script to download the high-res images from the apod pages. The images you get when you click on the apod image are probably the highest res available for that image.

I'm often able to find even higher res versions, but not in any dependable, scriptable way, since the sources for APODs vary so much.
