I'm pretty sure they are bestowed nonetheless!

But I'd guess somebody with enough rank could request something different, if they so desired...

I don't know who bestows the titles, but how about Beyonderlander or Pathfinder to Beyonderland for Beyond?

Egad! My name in lights!

As for rank (phew, what is that smell?) I may or may not be legally insane -- how could I tell? -- but I am hereby formally requesting the rank of Toroidal Terran.

Congrats, Rob! That's a great title!!!

Here are some colorful helical shapes from a Color Commentator for a Toroidal Pixelator!

Thank you Ann. I've dropped that image, aptly named "Celebration", into the thumbnail folder for my use in making mosaics. It may appear in my next astro mosaic.

As for my new title, I like it better than my self-proposed one, though I suspect it means that my thin veneer of Terranism has been penetrated by the keen eyes of the Asterisk. (I told them not to leave me here this long. But the rulers of Donutia know best.)

Can we call Rob pXZie Tori for short?

<<Pixies are mythical creatures of folklore usually depicted with [Spock-like?] pointed ears, and often wearing a green outfit and pointed hat. The origin of the name pixie is uncertain. Some have claimed that it comes from the Swedish dialectal pyske meaning wee little fairy. Some 19th century researchers have connected them with Puck, a mythological creature sometimes described as a fairy. Pixie mythology seems to predate Christian presence in Britain. They were subsumed into what passed as Christianity with the explanation that they were the souls of children who had died un-baptized. By 1869 some were suggesting that the name pixie was a racial remnant of Pictic tribes who used to paint/tattoo their skin blue, an attribute often given to pixies.>>

Seven-Color Tori
<<The Four-Color Theorem states that any map drawn in the Euclidean plane or on the sphere can be colored with only four colors in such a way that no two adjacent countries are the same color. This result, originally conjectured in 1852, has a colorful and controversial history commensurate with the remarkable difficulty of proving it. On a torus, we have the Seven-Color Theorem, along with many eye-catching ways of proving that seven colors are necessary.

Above are photographs of the two sides of Norton Starr's painted hydrostone torus depicting the Ungar-Leech map. One of the nice features of this map is that you can see all seven colors touching each other in a single view, the left-hand view above.

Can someone assign them a rank or tell them how they can designate their own rank.

(I never figured that out myself but I'm happy with my assigned one.)

So, Rob got a rank he is apparently happy with (I think it suits), even a
nickrank (are you suggesting Rob emits a hot bubble of expanding gas :? ).

Beyond? Any suggestions? Anybody?

I have taken note. And I must admit to recognizing myself in that cartoon.

But please, though Art (being inexplicable, ineradicable and unalloyed) may call me PixieTori, mere mortals must use the full and proper designation, Toroidal Pixelator. Or T. Pixelator at the very least. I have my rotundity to think of.
