Carina Nebula
Carina Nebula
I found an image that reminds me of this
But this looks like a double explosion ready to take place
Can you guess what these microscopic supernovae are? (No peeking)
Re: Carina Nebula
This is exactly the same I thought firstly, after viewing the winners of 2010 Nikon Small World Award.

The optical apparent similarity of these objects are striking, even though they are nearly 18 magnitudes of size apart.

Re: Carina Nebula
Goodness me, BMAONE and Art, you are right: there are similarities here!
I first misspelled "Goodness" and it came out as "Goddess", and then I realized that Henrietta Iacks strikes a pose worthy of a goddess. And Eta Carina does, too, even though it has rather stubby arms!
But Eta Carina's days are numbered if it has come down with what you showed us in your picture, BMAONE!
Anyway, Eta Carina is obviously a girl star... can't say I'm surprised, since I grew up with a girl named Carina.
This woman is named Carina. On that horse, she looks like a whopper to me. She's a big girl star!

I'm surprised that Chris would be able to recognize a horse from a side viewChris Peterson wrote:It's a North Swedish Trotter.BMAONE23 wrote:
