Funny, apparently, is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder. They just sound like horses to me.

Thanks Ed, it looks like Van Gogh was Van Gogh's favorite subject to paint. As for that squeaky horse in the video, perhaps it should be given a dose of olive-oil to get it's neigh-sayer working again?

As for what Foghorn Leghorn said, you have to remember that I'm out in "Beyonder Land" and it takes a while for things to get here. Foghorn would have told you that himself, but i had him over for dinner a while back. Say, does anyone need a BIG bag of white chicken feathers

As for bystander, i think I'm beginning to understand why "Most Pathetic Retiree" is written under his Avatar.

I think the problem(problem?)is that we are all tooo exposed to a smileing redheaded freckled-face guy with a tooth missing and something is rubbing off on us .

Even Ann's color commentaries have gotten a bit more than colorful sometimes.

Now i suppose i should say something about what is wrong with things to balance it all out, but i can't find anything wrong to say. Uh-oh, that means we're all out of balance and when you're out of balance, people refer to you as a "crazy" person. So i guess the bottom line, HERE, is that a lot of "spaced-out" crazy people come here to "happen". Hey - works for me

Hi beyond, I see APOD and Asterisk as a water hole… a refreshing detour from the sometimes mundane… a place where I think my love for the universe is shared by lots of people… and we can be friendly, but we don’t have to buy each other birthday presents. If you look for wrong… it is not hard to find… I certainly screw up enough… you can also look for good and not be disappointed. Such is life. I feel for Van Gogh, I am sorry he had difficulty controlling his thoughts… I’m certain it made life challenging for him. We can be glad he loved the stars though!

Hey Ed, a water-hole is where most critters that come to partake, behave themselves with-in certain boundries of civility, so that they can all get what they need, although some still have to keep a sharp eye out for dangerous things. Like Mexhunter says "I come to learn and have fun."

Dragon’s are a fanciful projection of power… symbolism, depicting strength of mind and/or body sometimes in a menacing role. There are dragons… and there are many. For example, it could be said that Van Gogh dealt with a menacing dragon… one that he couldn’t control, and that the dragon unfortunately won their battle.

Thanks for the links, Rob, I get it now. Mister Ed, Ed the Horse, a bit of untranslatable Americana and funny when it happened. For no particular reason, I would like to share a meaningless piece of now-forgotten Sweden-iana with you. Back in the sixties Sweden's favorite TV show was Hylands Hörna (Hyland's Corner). In one show the guest, then-popular actor Per Oscarson, suddenly and without warning started undressing on stage. He took off his shirt, his pants and (gasp!) his briefs! On live TV! Except he had another pair of briefs underneath. So he took off them too, but he had a third pair of briefs underneath. And he took off them too, and he had a fourth pair underneath, so he took off them too, and...

And all of Sweden almost fainted! And for decades, everybody remembered this event. But now you have to be my age for "Per Oscarsson in Hylands Hörna" to ring a bell.
