Tentacles on Mars?

Does anyone know what these strange tentacles emanating from these Martian hills are? I found them on an unnamed ESA-picture near Mawrth Vallis.

Could you post a link to the source? Maybe it could give us a better context for lighting direction. If I had to guess right now I'd say some kind of blown dust or some sort of clouds.
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

I found them on an unnamed ESA-picture in Google Earth (Mars-edition). The coördinates are marked in the lower right corner of the picture.

I don't think they are dust or sand-dunes. They always radiate outwards from hills. I found some more if you want to see them.
