Camping!

So I went on our annual camping trip to Detroit Lake this week. It was a great time as always; and with my work load I needed the break.

I broke out my telescope for the first time in a while. I got to show some folks a few things; the moon, of course, and Jupiter. For a few of them it was the first time they'd ever seen the moons of Jupiter. I just have to say it feels really great to bring people that kind of experience, to hear them say "wow" while looking through the eyepiece - and really mean it.

Your fellow campers were lucky to have you there! (Seeing the moons of Jupiter through a telescope would definitely get a wow out of me!)
