Milky Way and Airglow

Post by nuclearcat » Sat Jul 10, 2010 3:43 pm

Hi, this is my first encounter with airglow. I wanna share with you, I hope you like it :)
The Moon is set,
And the Pleiades.
Night's half gone,
Time's passing.
I sleep alone now. ”

Here's a wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airglow

How does one identify airglow and distinguish it from other phenomena?
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

Thank you for the post. By the way the airglow is on the left side of the photo as green and wavy.
