Re: 2010 June Lunar Eclipse
We had scudding clouds at my place, but like this 2 min exposure with the movement of them streaking.
Taken from Terranora, north coast NSW Australia - Canon 1DsMKII, 100-400L f4, 2 sec, f8, ISO200 - time 20:51AEST
This image is linked from my FLickr page, an image without the watermark can be seen at http://analog6.redbubble.com/sets/13295 ... -june-2010 or at http://odille.zenfolio.com/p669554549/h ... #h12b4da52
There is another image there but it is a montage so I have not submitted it here.

These are all wonderful! Odille, Noel, and Cesar, thank you so much for posting them!
Astrophotographers are always welcome (indeed, enthusiastically encouraged!) to post their images here; I wish more would do so!

Re: 2010 June Lunar Eclipse
Hello everyone, nice to see such great images!
I got one of the June 2010 eclipse taken from Auckland New Zealand:
This is a mosaic of 12 panels taken with a Philips ToUCam's 640x480 resolution and a 0.6x focal reducer (otherwise I'd have to do 20 panels ). An IR block filter was added to ensure correct color representation because I particularly wanted the reddening of the shadow to be visible. Exposures of both 1/1250s, 1/1500s and 1/1000s were blended together to capture the full dynamic range of the partially eclipsed Moon. Each panel is a stack of 190 frames, which provided for low noise levels so the image could be processed with curves and sharpening in Photoshop.
A full size version can be viewed here: http://www.pbase.com/rolfolsen/image/126032191/original
Regards,
Rolf
