Hmmm, I think I prefer NGC 206. I get a kick out of what I know that this object is, the largest OB association of our great neighbouring galaxy (and future nemesis), M31, the great Andromeda Galaxy!

Usually I get really bored by pictures of globular clusters, but I think that the one of M3 is really very nice. The image is well resolved, and it shows a few yellow-orange giants, a large number of blue horizontal branch stars and a myriad of small neutral-colored stars which are still on the main sequence. I admire the way the colors of the stars are so clearly separated, and since I think that blue is the loveliest color of them all, I really like the overall blue appearance of the cluster. At the same time the overall blue color bothers me, because I don't think a globular cluster should look that blue.

My first comment is that "Coat Hanger" is upside down. My second comment is that i like M3. It's simple - elegant - and it's -- "OUT THERE"!!

Indeed! And do you see a playful dinosaur's head and neck in the image? She's all pink and peeking around part of the nebula!

This isn't really a cluster, it's just an asterism.

If the Coat Hanger is an asterism, have you got an asterism for my coat?
