My Synopsis of the image:
It looks like 3 people moving through an open frame of a 30 second exposure carrying LED flashlights. Because the people are moving throughout the time of the image, they wouldn't reflect enough light to be visible and because they were moving until the shutter closed, they remain unseen. Because their lights are also moving, the trail effect is left in the image. They are almost unseen but for the Plaid shirt that the Lead traveler was wearing, noted in the slight striping below the light trail.

Funny how the foreground is a different phenomena than the back ground. The photo makes me think, three guys running along holding neon lamps, dressed in dark clothes. While at the same time, this time laps photo was taken, somebody up above shining a light on the foreground grass. The Stars look flat, I Must be wrong.

Simpler, I think. The soft lines on the grass are just the projected light from the flashlights that are being carried along.

Actually, the spoiler space at the bottom of the story fooled me. I thought I had gotten to the end (and IMO, Jerry should have left off the spoiler, at least until next Friday).

But I like dissecting photo,s. Remember the 3 suns photo? That caused a storm on here. I was glued to the forum with that.

I still think it would be a good apod for Thursday with just a link to the story, but Chris is probably right, it would bring out the crackpots.
