Is it just me or is the tracker nearly impossible to read? Even in places of moderate population it's very difficult to tell what the individual dots indicate. The dots are too large.
Just call me "geck" because "zilla" is like a last name.

People are invited to look at the map and see how many dots they can see.geckzilla wrote:Is it just me or is the tracker nearly impossible to read? Even in places of moderate population it's very difficult to tell what the individual dots indicate. The dots are too large.
(Shouldn't those green dots on the green map have been posted on March 17th?
Are the red & orange dots being saved for places that one cannot see the sun?)

When i am inspired to do so, I do allow myself some levity and humor. It is not steroids, it is just opportunity.

and by the way, where i live, Auburn, Washington, i have set up my camera and taken images of Orion and found anything more than ten seconds at 300mm, f5.6 saturates the CCD. Full moon at f22 for 1/200, f22 also saturates the CCD. And i know where the geostationary satelites reside for they show up as dots in the middle of star trails. Fom the APOD, I would pick central Africa for extended sky imagery.
