Tycho G is possibly the progenitor's companion (2009 Mar 17)

I am not sure you meant to say Tycho G was the progenitor. The progenitor is currently being distributed by the SNR.

Absolutely fascinating how bubble-like the 'cloud' is, if it can be called a cloud. As a poet with a (waning) fascination for the use and meaning of words, I simply cannot apply the word cloud to that bubble .. seeing it far more similar to a bubble in a body of water than a cloud.
Duty done .. the rain will stop as promised with the rainbow.

I thought that "puff ball" was a good description.

Is that a very red star or some sort of photography artifact located at 11:00 just outside the SNR?

With all the green in that puffball I think God might have blown that star up specially for St. Paddy's day (which is today just for the information o'all the Scotchpeople hereabouts who don't know what an Irish calendar looks like even though ye Scotts were Irish in the Beginning.)
