Apparently, there has'nt been carbon-dating or ink analysis on this MS. Correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps, someone at Yale can cast some light on this. Is it too expensive? Low on the Priority List? In any event, the accuracy and limitations of these analytical tools should, obviously, be explored on...

Need Therapy

What is APOD up to now? I think what we have here is a Cosmic Turkey. Note the similar features to our discussion photo: a streak, loops, a flash, and smoke-like stuff. Eerily similar and the image was captured by the orbiting Chandra Observatory(sort of like the Canon PowerShot). Take a look. http:...

Re: Listen, whoever hijacked my name is a petty child

Well no.. not at all. What I am saying is that this IS a factor that must be considered. And no, you cannot psychoanalyze me here... that would be as fruitless as your guesses about the "image in question". I will say that I am simply glad that the hoax possibility is being discussed. Tha...

Re: Hoax logic paradox

No wonder you can't see the logic... you don't have either the experience or the know how, and therefore, you are operating from a position of insufficient information. Ergo, your emotional state will prevent you from pursuing logic. In other words.. you will see what you want to see and no one, no...

Ha Ha---we've all been had---this is like an Alfred Hitchcock movie (a bad one) where we are all unwitting subjects of an evil scientist---thius is now obviously a psychological forum, not an astronomy based forum, which was the evil intent to begin with---as we degenerate into our caveman (any cav...

Re: Get a Grip, Doc Bluto

Well... it only took me five minutes to create multiple fakes of the same image, as well as other images... while retaining all digital information. And I am not a graphics artist. So what you are sayng is that the whole thing relies heavily upon your belief in the utter purity of heart of a person...

Re: Congratulations hazeii3

At least somone decided to finally go all out and follow the line of empirical science to it's end. It's unfortunate that everyone so caught up in explaining the phenomenon, can't come to grips with the simplest fact of experimentation and support for a working theory. I myself am as equally guilty...

And speaking of all the variables we'll never know, take a look at the tech info on the Canon PowerShot G3. I'm putting this URL up again:http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canong3/. The other thing is that I just wanted to be on page 100.

Here's the camera: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canong3/. It's time for a diagonal streak produced by a BUG. Go to it boys and girls. Don't forget to wear your bee suit. Do your best to duplicate the variables.

The BUG theory would seem to be winner by popular demand. I don't fall in love with my theories. Despite the variables problem, I sure would like to see a similar streak(diagonal) produced with that same camera type. Someone please go to a bee box and shoot away for possible flight streak on a digi.

I'm back as promised. The pixel detective work is very interesting. I'm not convinced about the pixel interpetation on the horizon as it relates to the streak. My contention is that all these events i.e. the streak, the flash, and the smoke or smoke-like phenomema seemingly in the area of the post, ...

Atmospheric conditions can create contrails that appear to have a constant width over distance. I'll be back with more examples.
