That's just funny... freefalling for hours, thinking you're on your way to the bottom, only to see an hour later you're halfway there. =b Would using your jetpack then be cheating if you used a couple bursts to speed you on your way 'down'? hehehe.... you could break the record for the most flips on...

LOL.... the smooth areas of the bay are so beautiful... and the Cape towering 3000 meters above the bay below! holy base jump batman. Wonder how long it would take to reach the bottom. =) And McDonald's will be up there soon enough with Mayor McCheese... too soon in my opinion. Once the corporate ho...

...meh meh meh...
*slaps everyone with a fat Jupiter* emc: We won't lose any gas giants any time soon (or venus even, which ironically is more protected by the sun than anything). It would take a great disturbance (a rogue star/planet?) in our solar realm to affect the sun's condition or any of the other guardian gas...

d'oh! what fault line?? the line is the seam between both photos. The many smaller, fainter lines radiate from an older, larger area beneath the newer crater. The fewer, deeper ridges come from the newer crater impact, as if material (molten whatever) was released, cutting those few deeper ridges an...

=D People! There are exploration rovers on Mars, and they've been there for years now! so any technology in these photos are manmade, and any terrain you see is not of earth. =b hehehe.... too bad they couldnt bounce around the planet like when they landed. First thing humans need to do when there i...

<_< I think the panorama is excellent. And the little Big Foot is like 6 centimeters, so we should just call it Little Foot... but then again, it may not even have feet. The images of the caves from Mars orbit are astounding. You can totally see the rim of the cave go down and disappear, as if the o...

Here here!
I agree 1000% with that... APOD has much to be proud of. The images posted are truelly remarkable (the quality over the years has increased tremendously!) and the links embedded in the descriptions give alot of additional information for us enthusiasts to lookup further details. I also like the APOD...

I'm just waiting for something to hit the moon... wake up the entire world about how little we can do concerning these objects that are everywhere in the solar system. Anyone know the last time something actually struck the moon and was recorded?
