No, no; we rip the flesh off bunnies and other beasties that are too big to swallow whole, but can also deal with the morsels that fit down the hatch mostly complete.

Well, now it's March, and so far we've had snow, freezing rain, and sleet. The windshield on my car iced over while I was driving; fun time! (Not. So so not.)
I'd rather have just snow!

A couple of nights ago, I saw Mercury and Venus in the western sky. Tonight, I saw Comet Lovejoy, barely, through binoculars.

APOD social media data analysis
On January 6, the poster below was presented at the 225th AAS meeting in Seattle, and has preliminary results of an analysis of four months of data from three APOD social media sites: Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. We will be expanding the dataset in the coming weeks. We invite others to perform th...

Ron, certainly the AAS meetings are very large! The other astro meetings I have attended are much smaller. Some day, I will attend an AAS meeting with a goal of going to the science sessions. The AAS press conferences are informative and I wish I had attended more of them. Margarita, it was fairly m...

I am so glad I remembered to restock my travel bottle of ibuprofen, because everything hurts, and I didn't even go...
