Looking at the scale, it looks like NGC 1546 is quite small, no? How small can a spiral galaxy be?

Could the storm inside have anything to do with the hexagon?

Was the photographer looking up at the sky or was he on a mountain looking level or down?

Pretty amazing that the bright central clouds are barely visible in yesterday's picture

Why is it "rare"? I would think every orbit that Mercury did would place it between us and the sun? More than once a year?

And here I was thinking that all exoplanets had been inferred and never been imaged directly, duh! I see from the first comment that an exoplanet was imaged as early as 2003 - what was the first exoplanet imaged ever?

Did you notice the little pieces of bushes (arms), on the lower left and on the right, detached from the overall structure of the galaxy, do these actually exists?

We all know these collisions happens over a very long period of time, hundred of millions of years as stated in the caption. But these two are 400 millions light years away; is that collision already over?

I would really miss this site if it were to go away. I can't say I've been there since the beginning but I haven't missed a day for at least 10 years!
