Re: What did you see in the sky tonight?
At around 9:45 CDT, I saw a big red fiery tail headed by a red bulb, slowly descending, straight down, a few miles south, maybe, of Normandy, MO. I saw it and immediately told two friends standing next to me that it was a shooting star (Is that probably what it was; what else could it be?).

Fleetwood Mac
I am currently independently researching the band Fleetwood Mac, personally one of my favorite bands, and was wondering if anyone is familiar with the band, isn't, has any strong opinions, or wants to share their favorite album(s)/song(s); mine are Then Play On, Mystery To Me, Fleetwood Mac, Rumours...

"Deepest Infrared Image"
It is amazing to see such astronomical astronomical advances like these https://www.nasa.gov/image-feature/goddard/2022/nasa-s-webb-delivers-deepest-infrared-image-of-universe-yet . Being so young myself, I can only begin to imagine the kind of progress to be made in the infinitely interesting field...

Re: Dislocated Knee (No Images)
Thank you, and yeah, I was told to do physical therapy; I did do physical therapy. But I'm past it. I've done all the physical therapy and no longer need to. That's what I meant by fully recovered; no crutches, no brace, no PT; fully recovered. And I have been, for about a month; I just never got ar...

Re: Dislocated Knee (No Images)
Based on the amount of views, and despite the lack of replies, I assume that many of you would like to know that I have fully recovered, and am back to my normal activities. I am, though, still cautious to take up tennis again, but hope my fear will vanish as my pain and inabilities have.

Dislocated Knee (No Images)
On the eighth of this month, I dislocated my right knee. I was hitting a tennis ball against a long wall with a ping-pong paddle when I tried to run along the wall, sideways, when I stepped a bit to hard on my right leg. With an audible scrape and pop , I had dislocated my right kneecap. Paramedics ...

SDAC
I found a site sort of similar to APOD, called SDAC. It is also under a nasa.gov URL. It shows images of the sun every day from the Goddard Space Flight Center, which is why I sometimes refer to it as SPOD (Sun Picture of the Day). From what I can tell, as not even an amateur astronomer, it's ten di...

Jupiter's Auroras
Like the Earth, Jupiter also has auroras. These lights are blue. They are much more energetic and bigger than those on Earth. Also unlike Earth, these auroras never cease.

Our Galaxy's Central Molecular Zone
My friends and I were really into APOD two years ago, but after a while, they started to lose interest, and I was the only one among my friends who still looked at the site; I still am. We used to do a thing where we would look at the calendar page and find the pictures posted on our birthdays, to t...
