A Blue Moon from the Czech Republic
I used a Newtonian telescope and a ZWO ASI 294MC to capture this. It happened on 19 08 2024. It essentially was a test of a new workflow for very fast moving objects and a low amount of quickly captured frames.

This is a mosaic which is processed from 12 500 single images. The final mosaic has 16 parts per 500 images. It was taken with an ZEISS achromat refractor and a Herschel wedge together with a ZWO ASI 294MC at the observatory and planetarium in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. The goal was to create a...

Re: Submissions: 2022 October
This is todays solar eclipse. Seen from the Observatory and planetarium in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. The image was taken around 10:01 UTC. As the weather did not play to our advantage, I tried to be a little creative. I took my Canon 6D and a 200mm lens and waited for the Sun to be partly visi...

The sunspots AR3092 and AR3093 as seen in H-alpha. 7000 images were aquired, of which 20% were used due to unstable seeing and an imaging session between clouds. The start of the imaging session was at 14:29 UTC on 05.09.2022. Also a color inverted version is attached, as it is easier to understand ...

Re: Submissions: 2022 August
The sunspot AR3078 While testing our relatively new Baader Tri-Band 9,25" with the RG32 Ha filter, I had an idea to take a few hours of data together with my colleague. This is a test stack made from 1000 images from 3500 taken. We started taking the images on 16th August 2022 at 11:34 UT. It i...

A reconstructed view of the Jezero crater from around 11km above the surface. The final image was made from LCAM, RDCAM and PUCAM images. It took me over 120 hours to process the images, align, stitch, stack, adjust brightness, sharpen and create the final video. It is a 360°version, so do not forge...
