Back a few years ago; when I first saw Galileo's photos of Io; I was
amazed at how much it looked like a pizza! It still does! :lol2:
Beautiful view; I like it!
My first thought was moldy cheese.
Blue cheese?

Nope, a truly bad, moldy cheese.

Well, here in the PNW, our full moon wasn't so big but it was a deep orange due to wildfires in the area.

What are the three blue 'stars' right above Rigel? Those would be the belt of Orion! Which from left to right are named: Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka! Orion's Belt or the Belt of Orion, also known as the Three Kings or Three Sisters,[1] is an asterism in the constellation Orion. It consists of the ...

Is that the Tardis in the lower left? I was wondering the same thing but to me, it looks like an old cell phone. You mean the sign telling folks to turn left or risk run off the road? I'm glad you could see that. Even when I enlarged it to 250, I still had trouble seeing it. Old eyes. How d...

Re: APOD: Light and Glory over Crete (2020 Nov 16)

So this image is a one-off, not a composite? Not sure. Chris Peterson would have a better idea. This link - https://slovinsky.art/2020/10/30/light-and-glory - only has these details: Equipment: Canon 6D mod, Sigma Art 28mm from the tripod EXIF: 15″, f/2.2, ISO 8.000 Date: 17th of July 2020 How long...

I don't think so. At the least, it's a mosaic. It spans something like 150°, but was shot with a 28mm lens on a full-frame sensor, which has a maximum width of about 65°.
Thanks for your reply.

It would be interesting to color it digitally if the link went to that image. When I click the link it takes me to rather rudimentary images of planets, asteroids, & stars but not that image. I looked along the side but didn't see a possible match?

Based on a SIMBAD query, it appears to be uncataloged.

Thanks.
