Re: Weather!

A warm, wet, and green Christmas here in Wisconsin. Hasn't dampened my holiday spirit in the slightest.

Re: APOD: Tonight: A Supermoon Lunar Eclipse (2015 Sep 27)

Saw the eclipse earlier. A rather dark one this time, could barely see the moon's disc during maximum eclipse.
Took plenty of photos which turned out well.

Re: What did you see in the sky tonight?

A large red moon, and a few stars here and there. A thrilling sight.

What a mesmerizing galaxy. Taken by the ol' Hubble, too.
While I don't know much about this particular galaxy, I've always found the outer universe intriguing. Perhaps someday we'll be able to explore it with our own eyes.

A rather intriguing picture. I like the stars twinkling through the pinkish swirls.

Re: APOD: Venus and Jupiter are Far (2015 Jul 03)

I've admired APOD for a long time. There are so many superb images of the universe, be it faraway galaxies or our own solar system. And then our own sun and moon, which constitute much of my work.

Jupiter looks particularly nice with its marble-like stripes. No big spot to spoil it in this shot.
