Blood Moon rise in San Diego about an hour ago. Not seeing the red but it is a BIG full moon. Very cool.

Hello,
I am told that there is a "blood moon" tonight (in San Diego, CA at least, probably elsewhere).
The cause I understand is a partial eclipse of some sort.
Can anyone give some more information?
I was surprised APOD wasn't on it, but its probably a local phenomenon.
