A trip of 20 miles last night at 2.30 GMT to a remote site in Suffolk, UK to a unique beach which has been severely eroded recently leaving petrified trees out of the sand making the area look very Jurassic! To get there I had to park up and get push bike out for the last 2 miles down a farm track a...

Aurora

Had first light with new Samyang 14mm lense a couple of nights ago (17th March) at Winterton on Sea, UK. Saw aurora for first time , through misty skies .

NGC 2175 . Imaged last night in UK.I don't usually rely on such little data but the seeing was very good and its a bright Nebula so put together this narrowband of Alpha, O111 and Synthetic Green

Did a run of LRGB (90sec) x15 L and (90 sec) RGB x5
added to sky from night after .
Comet Lovejoy. Lots of processing to hopefully bring out detail all round

A narrowband ,false hue for this nebula, Rosette, total of 30 hours exposure with Ha, O111 S2, plus RGB for stars
I hope the colour has brought something to this image

The Rosette Nebula. done with H alpha, and O111 and synth Green. 17 hrs total exposure , on going project for hubble palette but due to English cloudy claggy skies no progress for the foreseeable future!

Reflection Nebula and Star Cluster in Cepheus side by side, a tricky one to process. Got lots of data, 400 mins Luminance , 150 mins R, G and Blue.

Just visited Kelling Heath star party in North Norfolk UK. Skies reasonable so I took atrip to the nearby coast at around midnight, skies were misty low down and this one is looking due North and the plough and Auriga visible. Also a feint Aurora is visible.

Hi, have done another Witches Broom in the HST palette. Lots of signal in all Bands

Witches Broom

whilst waiting for dark skies again , I decided to venture out with new canon 6D and try out some widefield stuff. This has wet my appetite to do more along side the deep sky CCD this winter!
