Could you then please clarify for me whether Charon orbits Pluto. If it does not, then surely it cannot be described as a moon.

Before too many more photos of Pluto and Charon are downloaded from New Horizons, could writers, editors, journalists and correspondents please agree whether Charon is Pluto's largest moon or the two are binary planets. Today's APOD caption was quite a setback for those wishing to see the term "...

Superb job, peoples. As a life-long proof-reader (what an exciting way to spend an incarnation, eh?) I would point out one incey-wincey typo in case that page is carried over to next year's calendar (you never know, it might!). On Page 28/30 in the calendar for 2015, what should be May 30 is printed...

It's a sky fossil of an aurorasaurus. These flying lizards had wings which were sensitive to approaching comets and they took to the skies about 65 million years ago rarely to be seen again.
