I live in this area. We do get some spectacular weather (sunsets, thunderstorms, tornados) but this picture is most impressive. Great shot!!

Similar to using Color Picker, I used a "Replace Color" routine. Replace any Area A color (+/- alittle) with bright blue. Here is the results on my computer monitor. Not just the darker looking squares, but some bleed over into white squares in the "shadow" of the cylinder. https...

The larger APOD image (click on the image a couple of times) is very busy. Lots of light sources with diffraction spikes, galaxies everywhere, lensed (stretched) sources abound.

Interesting that our observant humans here quickly picked up the misplaced Sirius. The ChatGPT AI that rewrote the APOD description apparently did not notice the error.
