NomadWanderer, it sounds like you are using the automatic background software to have the APOD image downloaded to your desktop every day. If the image is a video, the software grabs the first still image it comes across from the APOD text. If there's another app out there that serves the same purp...

It happens rarely enough that I haven't considered dropping the desktop app.. right now the correct pictures it does deliver are great enough that they outweigh the few times it doesn't. But thought I would ask anyway.

Any Chance when movies are posted on aPod, we could get an alternate image that is at least a tiny bit space related?
