Re: garden

In my small garden, a parasite attacked plant of pretty
flowers. He destroyed all the leaves.
Then germinated seeds of this plant. Beside her grew
a wild flower that not like the parasite.
Now, the wild flower protects to pretty flower.

Re: GRB 090423

Chris Peterson is right
I have to make a precision
At the time of the explosion of GRB 090423, the distance from
Earth to that object was of 13.3 billion light years.
But Universe is expanding and GRB 090423 away from
Earth.

GRB 090423

GRB 090423 is a object super distant, wich exploded just
630 million years after Big Bang.
The age of Universe 13,700 million of years
Distance of GRB 090423
13,700 - 630 = 13,300 million of light years
Not could to be a supernova, because the stars were in
formation.
What were this object?

Re: Diameter of Solar System

To purpose of diameters
I think it is better handle diameter to indicate the size
of an astronomical object.
Use radius and diameter simultaneously can cause confusion

Re: Trans-genic foods!

Of course. The technique to produce trans-genic foods is a positive scientific advancement. Excellent!
It is not good producing this type of foods without studying the consecuences for humans, as it has ocurred with certain drugs ( the thalidomide, for example ).

Trans-genic foods!

I consider very important the quality of foods for the human health. The picture is complicated with the trans-genic foods. Natural foods vs. trans-genic foods I think that the trans-genic foods are not well studied. In my area is importer much corn and soy of this type. A doctor ( and researcher) p...
