Re: Submissions: 2020 April
When I centered the comet in my 20 "telescope, and I took the first test photo, I didn't believe my eyes: there was only a slight oblong spot just blurred! Then I thought it was a weak galaxy, and I tried again to aim with more precision, however it was always the same! When I took a longer pho...

A 30 minute photo with my main telescope: a 20-inch F / 8 Ritchey-Chretien, reduced to F / 4.2. The perspective from the Earth, of comet in its orbit, shows us the slightly curved dust tail along its orbit, and a tail of really tiny, slender and straight ions in the opposite direction to that of the...

Re: APOD: Comet PanSTARRS with Galaxy (2014 Jun 06)
The tecnique to freeze both the comet and the stars is a distortion in the use of software: innaturally. To obtein more details on comet tail, is necessary to push layer (with Photoshop or others ...) of cyan and/or blue, so tail and dimm stars go that color - see Ligustri pictures here: (http://spa...

Not a lot of manipulations via software (big stars, dimmest stars, bottom, tail, coma ...); photo centered on comet, simple and genuine.
