But maybe the bigger issue is that technological intelligence in a biological life form is just so fragile. I have been reading Cixin Liu's Three Body Problem trilogy over the past few years. I saw these lights while driving through northern Iowa and was able to pull over and get a few pictures. They're not great but I was happy they showed the red and green.
